APECS Ltd supplies complete grain handling and storage solutions to the farming communities of Hampshire and surrounding counties; from initial concept through design, planning permission, supply and installation to ongoing maintenance and a harvest time breakdown service.

Brief

APECS needed to update their branding. They wanted to create signage for their buildings, workwear, stationery and mugs, using the new branding.

Inspiration

There were features of the old branding that worked well – the way it incorporated agricultural elements to illustrate what they do, but it needed updating.

Approach

I kept the farm building outline and blue colouring of the old logo but added a modern twist. I updated the typeface to a bolder, cleaner font and added an additional brighter blue to the colour palette. I also used an image of a grain but again, it was a modern, simpler graphic that complimented the farm building shape.

Result

The new branding was well received and has been produced on clothing, stationery and in signage on site.
