Botanica Medica is a traditional herbal apothecary providing professional Western herbal medicine. Based just outside Petersfield, it was founded by Jo Dunbar-Lane, a Medical Herbalist of 20 years and author who combines herbal remedies with holistic therapies.

Brief

Jo Dunbar-Lane needed a range of new packaging for her business in spas, to include bottle labels, thank you cards, instructions/dosage tags, gift tags and business cards.

Inspiration

Jo came to me with some beautiful illustrations created for her by  ‘The ink Hermit’ depicting some of the plants and flowers used in her herbal medicines that she wanted to create into packaging, we worked together well and created a whole range of labels, thankyou cards, stationery and gift tags, instructions/dosage tags  for the products.

Approach

I worked on the designs in collaboration with Jo, who was a joy to work with. I spent time with her at her amazing apothecary and herb garden nestled in the South Downs National Park.

Result

The designs have been printed locally by Peta Print Petersfield and are being used within the apothecary and at spas.
