Surface Studio

The Surface Studio, based near Winchester, provide bespoke joinery for design professionals. They offer a range of crisp, linear CNC machined designs that are finished in oak & walnut, and a range of decorative, textured veneers.

Brief

As a newly set up UK subsidiary of an existing international business, the Surface Studio needed a full brand identity, including colour schemes, logo and stationery.

Inspiration

They have some stunning imagery and attract top designers and architects so the look and feel was very important to them. I wanted a colour scheme that would complement the wood finish of their products. The logo shape was inspired by the grooved nature of their products.

Approach

I developed four different design concepts for them to choose from. They went with the muted greys and blues and the logo with the cleanest design features.

Result

The new brand identity has been used across their print and digital marketing as well as on their social media.
